BANKRUPTCY
Society's way of protecting itself against people who HABITUALLY, through ignorance or malice, default on their obligations.

In the Scriptures, older cultures and even today in our culture, this means slavery by the debtor until the debt is paid. In our modern, CREDIT-BASED monetary systems, society protects itself by disabling the (your) legal rights of the incompetent (you).
